Julien Schulberg

Julien Schulberg is a gastroenterologist who holds appointments at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Austin Hospital and Barwon Health. Awarded an NHMRC postgraduate scholarship, Julien earned his PhD in 2021. Recognised with the Young Investigator Award at the Australian Gastroenterology Week 2021, Julien's research focuses on Crohn’s disease and its stricturing complications. He has presented at multiple international conferences including at DDW and ECCO and has published widely in the field of inflammatory bowel disease. Julien is proficient in intestinal ultrasound, trained under Giovanni Maconi in Milan, and is accredited by the international bowel ultrasound group. Julien also manages a busy private practice, dedicating care to numerous patients with gastroenterological problems including IBD.
